Instruction for INXMenu
Options

- CAVS songs (from download)
Select this option when your song files (MCG, MP3) are downloaded from CAVS website, www.cavsusa.com.
These song files contain title and artist information which can be collected automatically to make list files
(ENGLISH.inx, scdg.cfg, juke.txt).
For instruction on how to download and unzip the song files, see (PDF,
ZIP).
- Other songs (from CD+G discs)
Select this option when your song files (MCG, MP3) are extracted from CD+G discs (or BIN files).
For these song files, you must create a list file (for example, LIST.txt) manually and save it a same folder with the song files.

For instruction on how to create a list file, LIST.txt, see (PDF,
ZIP).

- Create ENGLISH.inx file (and rename song files as needed)
Create ENGLISH.inx file for the song
files and save it in Target folder.
The song files will be renamed (starting from 00001 and increasing sequentially), and will be saved in Target folder.
Error message will be issued if the song files are not in pairs as required.
- Create ENGLISH.inx file (without renaming song files)
Create ENGLISH.inx file for the song files and save it in Target folder.
The song files will not be renamed (as they are expected to be named already as required).
Check the Copy all files to Target option below in you wish to copy the song files into the Target folder.
Error message will be issued if the song files are not in pairs as required.
- Create SCDG.CFG file (and rename song files as needed)
Create scdg.cfg file for the song
files and save it in Target folder.
The song files will be renamed (starting from 00001 and increasing sequentially), and will be saved in Target folder.
Error message will be issued if the song files are not in pairs as required.
- Create SCDG.CFG file (without renaming song files)
Create scdg.cfg file for the song files and save it in Target folder.
The song files will not be renamed (as they are expected to be named already as required).
Check the Copy all files to Target option below in you wish to copy the song files into the Target folder.
Error message will be issued if the song files are not in pairs as required.
- Create a songlist file (LIST.txt)
Create a song list LIST.txt from the song files and save it in Target folder.
The list can be used for your record or hardcopy printing.
This option may be chosen together with any option for ENGLISH.inx or SCDG.cfg above.
Check the Copy all files to Target option below in you wish to copy the song files into the Target folder.
Error message will be issued if the song files are not found in pairs as required.
Note: For song files (MCG, MP3) extracted from CD+G discs, the LIST.txt file must be manually created.
- Copy all files to Target
Copy the song files (MCG, MP3), which may or may not be renamed depending on the option chosen, to Target folder.
Select Source
- Press to specify the Source folder containing
your song files
Create a sub-folder INX as the Target
- Check to store the resulting files in a sub-folder named INX under the Source folder
Select Target
- Press to specify the Target folder, into which the
resulting files will be saved.
Make
View log file
- View the log file to identity errors in
preparing song files.
